Distinguished global law firm is seeking a highly experienced IP Legal Assistant to support the Trademark group in their Denver office. This role requires a highly organized individual with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. The ideal candidate will provide vital legal administrative support to attorneys, ensuring seamless operations within the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Manage attorney calendars, track deadlines, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Handle daily IP docket reports for the attorneys and send client reminder letters.
- Schedule meetings and reserve conference rooms.
- Assist with client intake, including opening new matters, running conflict checks, and drafting engagement letters.
- Generate, edit/format, and proofread legal documents.
- Maintain client files and docket records in both firm systems and USPTO databases.
- Report USPTO correspondence to clients and prepare Information Disclosure Statement (IDS) filings.
- Enter attorney time records into the timekeeping system using appropriate codes.
- Assist with client billing processes.
- Book travel arrangements and generate expense reports.
- Process reimbursements, check requests, and vendor invoices.
- Keep track of attorney CLEs, including registration and reporting.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm setting.
- Must have prior Intellectual Property/Trademark experience.
- Knowledge of U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) rules and procedures.
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Ability to handle a high-volume workload and perform well under pressure to ensure deadlines are met.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience with Foundation IP software is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
The firm is offering a base salary $80,000 - $95,000 commensurate with experience and comprehensive benefits package including:
